This year two of the girls in our troop coordinated a service project for the NYC firefighters and rescue workers at Ground Zero. Girls loading boxesThey collected 900 care packages, which included first aide and toiletry supplies they could use at work or at home. Also, each troop or church group who donated included a letter to the hero that received the box.

Our troop has participated in an ongoing community service project with the Lemon Grove Historical Society helping them to restore and open the Historic Parsonage Museum. It was the first church in Lemon Grove and is over 100 years old. We helped plant shrubs, remove old wallpaper, prime and paint, sand, do archival work, and help out at numerous society events.
