What are the library's hours?
The library is open Mon, Tue, Thur, Fri. 7:00a.m. – 4:00p.m.
Wednesday, 8:00a.m. – 4:00p.m.
Wednesday hours may vary due to staff meetings or other school activities.
How do I search for a book?
Using Crawford’s Online Catalog, search for a book by AUTHOR,
TITLE, SUBJECT, or GENERAL KEYWORD.
What if the book is listed in the library, but is not on the shelf?
Ask the library staff for help.
How do I check out a book and when are books due?
A student needs to present his/her school ID and book(s) at the circulation
desk. The Date Due will be stamped on the inside of the front cover.
Books are due two weeks after checkout. This does not include weekends,
holidays and breaks.Students may have a total of three books checked out to their account.
What if I lost my school ID?
Students with a lost ID must obtain a new one from their school’s
office.
What if I need the book longer?
Bring it in and it will be renewed unless someone else has placed a hold
on it.
Can magazines be checked out?
Current magazines cannot be checked out. However, back issues can be checked
out for overnight.
Where do I place a returned book? Magazine?
Library books should be returned to the circulation desk and placed into
the return slot. Magazines should be handed to the library staff at the
circulation desk.
How much do I pay for an overdue book?
Overdue books are charged 5 cents per day, per book.
What happens if my library book is lost or damaged?
Students who have lost a book will be charged the price of the book. Students
who have damaged books will be fined between $1 - $8, depending on the
damage.
Where do I pay for a lost or damaged book?
Pay for lost or damaged books at the library's circulation desk and obtain
a receipt.
What if I find a book I reported lost?
Bring the book to the library and we will fill out a Request for Refund
form. This form will be sent to the financial office and they will mail
a check home.
Can students use the library's computers?
Students with a Crawford ID may use the library's computers. There are
28 computers in back of the library for student usage. These 28 computers
are for writing reports, working on projects, and researching. Students
wishing to use the printer will be charged 10cents per page. The 7 computers
by the circulation desk are exclusively for searching the Crawford book
collection.
Can students use the library's copier?
Yes. Students may use the copier at a charge of 10 cents per page.
